Editorial policy
Silver City Briefing aims to be accurate, transparent and independent. We separate established information from interpretation, make claims only as specific as the available support allows, and correct material errors openly.
Accuracy and context
We check names, dates, terms and factual claims before publication and seek reliable supporting material where a claim needs it. A visual impression or a plausible story is not proof. When evidence is incomplete or accounts differ, we say so rather than smoothing away the uncertainty.
Independence
Editorial decisions belong to the publication, not to advertisers or partners. Commercial relationships do not buy a favourable conclusion or control over independent coverage. We do not present product promotion as an editorial assessment.
Corrections
If a reader spots a factual error, please use the Contact page and identify the passage and the correction you believe is needed. We review reports, amend substantiated errors and make significant corrections clear to readers. A correction does not mean changing a considered opinion simply because someone disagrees.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid, gifted or otherwise partner-supported material is identified clearly as partner material, so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Some illustrations on the site are AI-generated; they are illustrative, not documentary evidence, and are identified where they appear.
A shine is only the beginning
We look past the sparkle to ask what silver is, what it does, and why people keep putting it in view.
